About Us

Everyday Economics is the brainchild of Omer Barash, who’s qualifications include a BA in Economics and an overactive imagination. It is a response to the type of economics that seems pervasive on the news and in academia, which can be quantified, clinical, and wholly devoid of fun.

It tries to get back to the roots of economic thinking, and apply the lens of the practice to everyday decision making, regardless of practicality.

The blog posits a vision of how the world could be, if only we all started to think about problems in very rational and highly ridiculous ways.

If you love economics and enjoy thinking about the world in new ways, then there are probably better things to read. But if you also enjoy casual tangents and attempts at humor along the way, then this might just be the right place for you.
